Frédéric Delavier is a gifted artist with an exceptional knowledge of human anatomy, having studied morphology and anatomy for five years at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and dissection for three years at the Paris Faculté de Médecine. He has served as the editor in chief of the French magazine PowerMag and has contributed to several fitness publications, including Le Monde du Muscle, Men's Health Germany, and Ironman.

Delavier is the author of several best-selling books, including Strength Training Anatomy, The Strength Training Anatomy Workout, and Delavier's Women's Strength Training Anatomy Workouts. He won the French powerlifting title in 1988 and is known for his presentations on the sport applications of biomechanics. His contributions to teaching have been recognized with the Grand Prix de Techniques et de Pédagogie Sportive. Delavier resides in Paris, France.
