What makes a thought leader?
An oft underappreciated quote from the bible, "And you shall know them by their fruit." is the cardinal point with which we have fixated upon to determine how to measure a thought leader. While thought leaders may go by many terms like "expert", "guru", or "content creator", we have opted to cast a wide net to find those individuals who make the most impact.
To us, a modern thought leader is someone alive, or recently deceased, who has a wealth of content on various platforms which users have found valuable based on their ratings. We have tried to stick to the platforms that have implemented quality control in their ratings systems.
- Voting. Users are empowered to offer their 2 cents, by casting their votes for a thought leader.
- User Reputation. Higher reputation users have more weight in their votes, and the thought leaders they submit have a higher rating.
- Discovery. By Bookmarking thought leaders, users can discover new thought leaders, associated youtube videos, and other related content.
The Credibility Rating
The Credibility rating is an encapsulation of the quality of a thought leader. The rating is a number between 0 and 1000, with 1000 being the highest possible rating someone can achieve. The tools we use to achieve this are proprietary, but we largely rely on public data to determine the rating.
Our algorithm is still a work in progress, and as more platforms implement quality control measures we can calculate more accurate ratings. Once we release Mentor GPT we hope to also evaluate the content of thought leaders, and better determine their value.

LLMs provide a way for you to interact with experts in a way that is tailored to your needs. With Mentor GPT we hope to enable you to find discussions, and deep dives from thought leaders podcasts, and/or youtube videos that are relevant to your burning questions. It really isnt enough to just "chat" with a thought leader, but you should actually be directed to where we found the answer to your question, so you can learn more yourself; besides, context is everything.
