Dick Russell is an American investigative journalist, author, and environmental activist. He is recognized for his extensive research on the assassination of John F. Kennedy and his advocacy for marine conservation. Russell has authored thirteen books, including notable titles such as "Horsemen of the Apocalypse: The Men Who Are Destroying Life on Earth - And What It Means to Our Children" and "Eye of the Whale," which was named among the best books of 2001 by three major newspapers.
In addition to his solo works, Russell has collaborated with former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura on several books that have achieved New York Times best-seller status. His book "The Man Who Knew Too Much" has been praised as a "masterpiece of historical reconstruction" by Publisher's Weekly. As an environmental activist, he has received the citizen's Chevron Conservation Award for his efforts in advocating for the protection of the Atlantic striped bass and other marine life.
