Dr. Peter R. Breggin, distinguished as “The Conscience of Psychiatry”, has spent many decades working towards the reform in mental health field. Beyond his extensive work in psychiatry, his current endeavors are focused on the potential misuse of science regarding COVID-19 and its origins, which he and his coauthor, Ginger Breggin, refer to as the work of "global predators".

Current Work

Dr. Breggin is engaged as the medical and psychiatric expert for an injunction against the governor of Ohio, addressing the unending emergency decrees related to COVID-19 that are believed to be oppressing citizens. Together with his wife, Ginger R. Breggin, they have penned a book titled 'COVID-19 and the Global Predators: We are the Prey'.

Experience and Expertise

A Harvard-trained psychiatrist, he once served as a full-time Consultant at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and also in a part-time capacity for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He's provided his expertise as a medical expert in over 100 legal cases in state and federal courts, covering topics such as adverse drug effects, drug approval, the pharmaceutical industry, and the FDA.

Dr. Breggin is renowned for his vast array of publications, having written dozens of scientific articles and more than twenty compelling books. A few of his notable books include 'Toxic Psychiatry', 'Talking Back to Ritalin', 'The Antidepressant Fact Book', 'The Heart of Being Helpful: Empathy and the Creation of a Healing Presence', and, in partnership with Ginger Breggin, 'Talking Back to Prozac'. His most recent publication are 'Psychiatric Drug Withdrawal: A Guide for Prescribers, Therapists, Patients and their Families' (SPC, 2013) and 'Guilt, Shame, and Anxiety: Understanding and Overcoming Negative Emotions' (Prometheus, 2014).
