Patricia Jinich, commonly known as Pati Jinich, is a Mexican chef, TV personality, and cookbook author. Born and raised in Mexico City, she comes from a family of accomplished cooks and has lived in the Washington, DC area for over 20 years. Initially trained as a policy analyst, Pati transitioned to the culinary world out of nostalgia for her homeland's cuisine. She launched a series of culinary programs at the Mexican Cultural Institute in 2007, where she serves as the resident chef.

Pati is best known for her PBS series, "Pati's Mexican Table," which has garnered multiple awards, including three James Beard Awards. Her recent docuseries, "La Frontera with Pati Jinich," explores the US-Mexico border region and has also received critical acclaim. Pati has authored several cookbooks, including "Pati's Mexican Table," "Mexican Today," and the New York Times bestseller "Treasures of the Mexican Table," which showcases over 150 recipes from her travels across Mexico. Through her work, she aims to share the richness of Mexican culture and cuisine with a broader audience.
