Michael Kevin Pollan is an American journalist and author known for his work on food, agriculture, and the environment. He has written seven bestselling books, including 'The Omnivore's Dilemma,' 'In Defense of Food,' and 'Cooked.' Pollan is a longtime contributor to the New York Times Magazine and has been recognized for his impactful writing, being named one of TIME magazine's 100 most influential people in the world in 2010.
In addition to his writing, Pollan is an educator, serving as a professor and the first Lewis K. Chan Arts Lecturer at Harvard University. He is also the Knight Professor of Science and Environmental Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley, where he co-founded the UC Berkeley Center for the Science of Psychedelics in 2020. His work focuses on the intersection of food, health, and the environment, aiming to educate the public on these critical issues.
