Lisa J. Miller, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Clinical Psychology Program at Columbia University, Teachers College. She is the founder of the Spirituality Mind Body Institute, which is recognized as the first Ivy League graduate program focused on the intersection of spirituality and psychology. Dr. Miller's extensive research has been published in prestigious journals, including JAMA-Psychiatry, the American Journal of Psychiatry, and the Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.

In addition to her research contributions, Dr. Miller serves as the Editor of the Oxford Handbook of Psychology and Spirituality and was the Founder and Former Co-Editor of the APA journal, Spirituality in Clinical Practice. She has been honored as a Fellow by the American Psychological Association and has received the Virginia Sexton Mentoring Award for her work with graduate students. A graduate of Yale University, she earned her doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania under the mentorship of Martin Seligman. Dr. Miller has also made media appearances as an expert on platforms such as CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC.
