Lawrence A. Cunningham is an American corporate director, advisor, author, professor, and lawyer. He serves as the Director of the John L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance at the University of Delaware. Cunningham is the founder and managing partner of the Quality Shareholders Group and is currently special counsel at Mayer Brown LLP. He has extensive experience advising companies, boards, and shareholders, and is recognized as an expert on corporate governance.

Cunningham is the author of two dozen books, including the internationally best-selling 'The Essays of Warren Buffett,' which he self-published and arranged for translation into multiple languages. His notable works also include 'Quality Investing,' 'The AIG Story,' and 'Margin of Trust,' the latter of which received special mention from Warren Buffett in his 2020 letter to Berkshire Hathaway shareholders. Additionally, Cunningham has served on the boards of both private and public companies, such as Markel Group and Constellation Software Inc.
