About

Philip Douglas "Phil" Jackson is an American former professional basketball player, coach, and executive in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is renowned for his coaching success, having won a total of 13 NBA championships—two as a player with the New York Knicks and eleven as a head coach, which is the most in NBA history. Jackson's coaching career includes leading the Chicago Bulls to six championships from 1989 to 1998 and the Los Angeles Lakers to five championships from 2000 to 2010. He holds several records, including the most postseason wins and conference titles.

Jackson is also recognized for his unique coaching style, which incorporates Tex Winter's triangle offense and is influenced by Eastern philosophy, earning him the nickname "Zen Master." He has authored several books on basketball strategies and personal philosophy, including "Eleven Rings: The Soul of Success." In addition to his coaching accolades, Jackson was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007 and was named one of the ten greatest coaches in NBA history during the league's 50th anniversary celebrations in 1996. He currently serves as the president of the New York Knicks.
