Naomi Rebekah Wolf is an American feminist author, journalist, and conspiracy theorist, born in 1962. She gained prominence in the third wave of the feminist movement with the publication of her first book, The Beauty Myth, in 1991. Her work has been praised by notable feminists such as Gloria Steinem and Betty Friedan, while also facing criticism from figures like Camille Paglia. In addition to her writing, Wolf served as a political advisor for the presidential campaigns of Bill Clinton and Al Gore during the 1990s.
Wolf received a D Phil Degree in English Literature from the University of Oxford in 2015 and has held various academic positions, including a Visiting Professor role at SUNY Stony Brook and a visiting lecturer at George Washington University. She has also been involved in research fellowships at Barnard College and the Rothermere American Institute.
