John Preston, Psy.D, is a professor emeritus at Alliant International University in Sacramento, California, and has previously held positions at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine and the Professional School of Psychology in San Francisco. He has authored 21 books on various topics including psychopharmacology, neurobiology, psychotherapy, spirituality, and emotional healing, with his works translated into 14 languages. Notably, he contributed the chapter on 'Drugs in Psychiatry' for the Encyclopedia Americana.
Over the past 25 years, Dr. Preston has delivered more than 500 invited talks across the USA, Canada, Europe, Africa, and Russia, showcasing his ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences. He has received accolades such as the President's Award from the Mental Health Association and the Distinguished Contributions to Psychology Award from the California Psychological Association.
