Professor Jeff Fynn-Paul, PhD, is a historian at Leiden University in the Netherlands, where he teaches Economics and Global History. His academic journey began in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he developed a passion for history. Fynn-Paul has lived in various countries, including the United States, Mexico, Canada, the United Kingdom, Spain, Belgium, and the Netherlands, which has enriched his understanding of global historical contexts. He holds a PhD in Spanish history from the University of Toronto and conducts research in eight languages, including Spanish, Latin, Catalan, French, Italian, Dutch, and German.

Fynn-Paul is a prolific author, having written dozens of scholarly books and articles. His notable works include 'Not Stolen: The Truth About European Colonialism in the New World' and 'Family, Work, and Household in Late Medieval Iberia.' He has received recognition for his contributions to the field, including the 2016 European History Quarterly Prize.
