Musical Career
Tasha Layton, a highly celebrated contemporary Christian musician, found her start in her music career when she appeared on Season 9 of American Idol. Following her stint on the show, she further honed her craft during the four years she spent as a back-up vocalist for pop superstar Katy Perry. In 2020, Tasha captured the attention of radio audiences with her awe-inspiring voice and has since been recognized as one of Christian music's top female vocalists.
Her full-length debut album titled How Far, features the #1 single and title track, the chart-topping success Look What You’ve Done, and her breakthrough hit Into The Sea (It’s Gonna Be OK). By 2022, she had been named one of Billboard’s Top 5 female Christian artists, featured on ABC’s GMA3: What You Need To Know, co-hosted the 52nd GMA Dove Awards Pre-Telecast, and made her Grand Ole Opry debut.
Personal Journey
Tasha's journey hasn't been without struggle as she has grappled with suicidal thoughts, comparison, and issues of self-worth. However, her strong faith has brought her through these hardships and has guided her towards a life filled with joy, freedom, boldness, and an eternal perspective. Today, she uses her talent not only to entertain but also to share her powerful testimony, touching lives everywhere.
From her early beginnings in small-town South Carolina to her travels around the globe, Tasha Layton has experienced God's love every step of the way.
New Ventures
In 2022, Tasha launched her online show, Boundless, with K-LOVE OnDemand. Keeping the momentum going, she is set to release her first book in 2023, titled "Look What You’ve Done: The Lies We Believe & The Truth That Sets Us Free".
