Prisca Dorcas Mojica Rodríguez was born in Managua, Nicaragua, and now resides in Nashville, Tennessee. She earned her Masters of Divinity from Vanderbilt University in the Spring of 2015. Her work primarily involves making complex theories and academic material accessible through storytelling and content curation, challenging the norms of traditional academia that she describes as racist and classist.

In 2013, she founded the platform Latina Rebels, which has grown to over 300,000 organic followers. Her activism and writing have garnered attention from major media outlets, including Telemundo, Univision, and the Huffington Post Latino Voices. In the Fall of 2016, she was invited to the White House, highlighting her influence and commitment to advocating for the stories of Latinx communities. Her published works include 'For Brown Girls with Sharp Edges and Tender Hearts' and 'Tías and Primas: On Knowing and Loving the Women Who Raise Us.'
