About

Kelsey Blackwell is a cultural somatics practitioner dedicated to empowering women of color by helping them trust and follow the guidance of their bodies. She aims to enable individuals to radiate their worth, dignity, and wisdom in a world that needs this brilliance. As a facilitator, coach, and speaker, Kelsey has introduced abolitionist embodied practices to a variety of groups, including riders on Bay Area Rapid Transit trains, students at Stanford University, and professionals at LinkedIn.

In addition to her one-on-one client work, Kelsey leads an eight-week group program titled 'Decolonizing the Body.' She is also the author of the viral article 'Why People of Color Need Spaces Without White People,' published by The Arrow Journal. Kelsey holds certifications as an InterPlay Leader and a Strozzi Certified Somatic Coach, and she earned her master's degree in Publishing from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. She believes that the journey towards personal and collective liberation should also incorporate joy.
