Don Miguel Ruiz, born Miguel Ángel Ruiz Macías in 1952, is a Mexican author celebrated for his contributions to spiritual and personal development literature. He is best known for his book 'The Four Agreements,' which has sold over 12 million copies in the United States and has been translated into 46 languages. His works, collectively referred to as the 'Toltec Wisdom Series,' include titles such as 'The Mastery of Love,' 'The Voice of Knowledge,' and 'The Fifth Agreement.' Ruiz's teachings draw from ancient Toltec traditions, merging them with modern insights to promote personal transformation and self-awareness.
Before becoming a renowned spiritual teacher, Ruiz practiced neurosurgery after graduating from medical school in Mexico City. A near-fatal car accident prompted him to leave medicine and pursue a deeper understanding of life and humanity. Influenced by his mother's ancestral teachings, he developed a philosophy that combines Toltec mythology with scientific perspectives. Over the past three decades, he has dedicated his life to guiding others toward personal freedom and authenticity, earning him respect and recognition worldwide.
