Dave Castro holds a prominent position as the Director of the CrossFit Games and also fulfills the role of Co-Director of Training for CrossFit Inc. His journey with CrossFit Games began with the very first event in 2007, which was held on his parents' ranch located in Aromas, California. Since then, he has personally programmed all the editions of the Games held to date.

Over the years, Castro's consistent efforts have resulted in the substantial growth of the Games. What began as a small competition involving about 70 athletes has transformed into an international event. Now, more than 400,000 individuals compete globally in the CrossFit Games, all aspiring to earn the title of being named 'Fittest on Earth'.

Before his engagement with CrossFit, Castro served in the United States Navy. Currently, he resides in California.
