About

Father Timothy M. Gallagher, O.M.V., is a member of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary, a religious community focused on retreats and spiritual formation. He was ordained in 1979 and earned his doctorate in 1983 from the Gregorian University. Over the years, he has taught at various seminaries, including St. John's Seminary in Brighton, MA, and Our Lady of Grace Seminary Residence in Boston, MA. His extensive ministry encompasses retreats, spiritual direction, and teaching on the spiritual life, along with significant roles in formation work and provincial leadership within his community.

Fr. Gallagher is the author of eight books published by Crossroad, focusing on the spiritual teachings of St. Ignatius of Loyola and the life of Venerable Bruno Lanteri, the founder of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary. His notable works include 'The Discernment of Spirits: An Ignatian Guide to Everyday Living' and 'The Examen Prayer: Ignatian Wisdom for Our Lives Today.' He currently holds the St. Ignatius Chair for Spiritual Formation at St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver, CO, where he continues to influence the field of spiritual formation.
